Chlamydia Screening Programme is for people aged between 15-24 years of age in Sefton.

 Chlamydia is…

  • The most common sexually transmitted infection in the UK
  • When tested, 1 in 14 people aged between 15-24 were found to have chlamydia.
  • Just because you don’t have any symptoms does not mean you don’t have it.
  • It may only take one episode of unprotected intercourse withan infected person to catch Chlamydia. A simple test can confirm if you have Chlamydia and it can be easily treated with antibiotics.
